Every Day is journey trying to understand my space as a biracial black woman. I often fantasize about the times when I connected with southern heritage growing up. I was Born in San Antonio, Texas to a white mother and Black father. I connected with my only link to her blackness through horseback riding and rodeo culture. I draw upon these connections through vibrant depictions of Black figures engaging in predominantly white activities.
